Why Hyderabad, why now

Hyderabad has become the city where India's enterprise story is being rewritten. Global Capability Centers that began as cost arbitrage now run product, engineering and data for the world's largest companies. A startup ecosystem anchored by T-Hub has produced founders who compete globally from day one. Pharma, life sciences, aerospace and, increasingly, AI and deep tech have given the city a breadth that few Indian metros can match.

What the city has lacked is a stage of its own for the people behind that growth. Recognition for India's C-suite has tended to flow through Mumbai, Delhi or Bengaluru, and recognition for GCC leaders has often flowed to a headquarters on another continent. The India CXO Awards 2026 is CXO Magazine's answer: a national honour roll, judged on leadership, innovation and impact, presented in the city that best represents where Indian enterprise is heading.

The choice of T-Hub as the venue is deliberate. It is one of the world's largest innovation campuses and the physical centre of Telangana's technology ecosystem. Honouring India's CXOs there puts the people who run established enterprises in the same room as the founders and investors building the next ones.

Five pillars, 100 leaders

The 2026 edition honours 20 CXOs in each of five categories, chosen to reflect the distinct kinds of leadership India's economy now demands.

Category

Who it honours

Global Capability Centers CXO

Leaders who have turned India GCCs into global centres of product, engineering, data and innovation

Startup CXO

Founders and executives building category-defining companies, from seed stage to scale

Public Corporation CXO of the Year

C-suite leaders of listed enterprises delivering sustained growth and shareholder value

Highly Innovative CXO

Executives whose early bets on AI, deep tech and new business models are reshaping their industries

Turnaround CXO

Leaders who reversed a trajectory and rebuilt an organisation for lasting success

The categories are open to CEOs, CFOs, CTOs, CMOs, COOs, CHROs and CIOs, as well as founders, investors and the business leaders and service providers who work alongside them. Leaders may nominate themselves or be nominated by a colleague, board member or peer.

Alongside the awards, CXO Magazine will publish four CXO Top 25 rankings, placing winners among India's most influential executives in their fields.

The evening at T-Hub

The awards run from 3.30 PM to 8.30 PM IST on 19 November, with more than 250 CXOs, founders and investors expected in the room. The ceremony sits inside a programme of keynotes and leadership panels, followed by a curated VIP dinner.

The format is built for conversation rather than spectacle. Honourees, jury members, investors and ecosystem leaders share the same tables, and the dinner that follows the ceremony is where most of the evening's real business gets done. Front-row seating, red-carpet photography and the dinner itself are reserved for VIP ticket holders; the agenda is indicative and may change.

How winners are chosen

Every honouree earns the award through a four-stage process designed to be transparent and rigorous.

  1. Nomination. The leader, or someone who has worked with them, submits a nomination form describing their achievements and leadership impact.

  2. Eligibility check. An expert panel verifies each entry against the category criteria.

  3. Jury evaluation. Industry professionals assess the shortlisted entries through a two-tier judging process, with jury rounds concluding on 10 November.

  4. Awards ceremony. Winners are unveiled and celebrated live at T-Hub on 19 November.

Selection is editorial. The jury looks for evidence of strategic vision, measurable business outcomes and the ability to sustain growth and innovation, not for the size of the organisation or the seniority of the title.

What recognition does for a leader

An award is a trophy for one evening; the recognition behind it works for years. Every winner is featured in CXO Magazine, the platform for India's CXOs, leaders and innovators, and takes a place in the CXO Top 25 rankings. For a GCC leader, that is third-party validation that travels to a global headquarters. For a founder, it is a signal to investors and customers. For a public-company executive, it is a benchmark set in front of peers.

The room matters as much as the citation. Winners share the evening with 250 or more of India's most influential CXOs, founders, investors and ecosystem leaders, and the connections made over dinner at T-Hub tend to outlast the photographs. Honourees also carry the award into their own channels: a digital winner badge, professional red-carpet coverage and event footage they are free to use.

The founders profiled in the October issue's cover story, India's Most Influential DeepTech Startups, are already part of this community. The awards extend it to the executives running India's largest enterprises and its fastest-growing companies.

Nominate before 10 November
